Omaha, NE – July 17, 2025 — Kada Health, a company committed to transforming healthcare quality, safety and efficiency, is proud to announce the appointment of Sam Flanders, MD, as Senior Advisor for Quality, Safety, Performance Improvement and Population Health.
Dr. Flanders brings more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice and executive leadership, with a distinguished track record of driving innovation and operational excellence. A general pediatrician by training, he has held senior roles at leading academic medical centers and community hospitals across Michigan, Indiana and Missouri.
Motivated by firsthand challenges in frontline care, Dr. Flanders has long championed proactive approaches to healthcare improvement. His work emphasizes identifying early warning signs and addressing systemic issues before they lead to adverse outcomes.

This approach focuses on eliminating inefficiencies and empowering frontline clinicians and staff to identify and mitigate risks before they affect patient care. The result is a culture of continuous improvement and shared accountability.
“At Kada Health, my goal is to help organizations build a culture where quality and safety are not just metrics, but shared values that guide everyday decisions,” said Dr. Flanders. “It’s about creating systems where everyone—from leadership to the bedside—feels ownership in delivering exceptional care.”
This appointment also marks a reunion with Shane Cerone, President and CEO of Kada Health. “We’re thrilled to welcome Sam to the Kada team,” said Cerone. “His leadership in continuous improvement has consistently resulted in health systems improving performance and achieving best-in-class results. Sam will be an invaluable asset to the organizations we serve.”
